The year of 2018 is not yet done with the starry galore. The recently held Star Screen Awards in Mumbai on Sunday was as ravishing and flamboyant as the star studded weddings this year.

The event which was terrifically a glamorous affair was graced by many stars from the just married Ranveer- Deepika a.k.a DeepVeer to  Rekha, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Shraddha Kapoor and many others. Their stunning presence on the red carpet created a remarkable night and when being hosted by the stars of the year Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal, the show had to be a real blast.

The year has been a testament of some exceptional movies and phenomenal performances, entertaining the audience to the edge and awarding the best among them became the highlight of the show.

Ranveer Singh bagged the award for the ‘Best Male Actor’ for his portrayal of Allaudin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s massive hit of 2018 Padmavat , his winning speech had everyone’s heart and his dearest wife all teary eyed, while the People’s Choice award for ‘Best Actor’ (Popular) was given to Rajkummar Rao for Stree.

Alia Bhatt was titled as the ‘Best Actor Female’ for her outstanding performance in Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi. The
Best Critics choice award was given to Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao for their significant and remarkable performance in Baadhai Ho and Shriram Raghavan won the title of ‘Best Director’ for his masterpiece of the year Andhadhun that left the audience mind boggled, featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu, and Radhika Apte.

Probably the most deserving musical pieces of this year, the award for Best Singer Male went to Arijit Singh for Ae Watan from Raazi and Harshdeep Kaur won the Best Singer Female for Dilbaro from the same movie.
