Shah Rukh Khan has been on a self-imposed sabbatical for one of the longest times in his film career and his fans have been eagerly waiting to see him back in action. While the actor is busy shooting for his next, Pathan, with John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in the key roles, his collaboration with filmmaker Atlee has been one of the most-anticipated projects.
It was earlier reported that Shah Rukh Khan and Tamil director Atlee have been working on a project to collaborate for the first time and the movie was earlier speculated to be the first release of Shah Rukh Khan post his 2018 box office failure, Zero. However, Shah Rukh Khan started filming Siddharth Anand directorial Pathan and according to a source close to the actor, his collaboration with Atlee has been called off.
According to our source, Shah Rukh Khan has decided to walk out of the Atlee directorial for reasons unknown as of now and he will no longer be collaborating with the Bigil director. The thriller script had Shah Rukh Khan in a double role and it is being speculated that it had a resemblance to many movies which led to the disagreement between the two.
On the other hand, SRK will next be seen alongside John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in the next instalment of Rohit Shetty’s spy universe, Pathan. He will also be seen in small cameos in Karan Johar’s magnum opus trilogy, Brahmastra.
