Spider-Man: No Way Home is undoubtedly one of the most rumoured and exciting movies of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe that is in the making for a long time. While the makers left no stones unturned to keep the theme of the movie under tight curtains, fans managed to get insights and it was rumoured that the long-awaited sequel will explore a multiverse. With the trailer, the rumours seem to be correct.
Sony Pictures was forced to unveil the first teaser trailer of their ambitious project, Spider-Man: No Way Home, after a poor quality video of the trailer was leaked online and gained momentum. The leaked video shot from a phone lacked clarity and final VFX but it was giving away the major plot of the movie. In an attempt to keep the hype intact, the producers decided to unveil the official trailer which came as a surprise to the MCU fans.
The official trailer begins with Tom Holland and Zendaya in a romantic gateway but things turn out rough as the two discovers that the identity of Spider-Man has been made public by Mysterio. Soon Peter Parker aka Spider-Man is accused of the death of Mysterio played by Jake Gyllenhaal. In an attempt to reverse the damage, Peter seeks help from Doctor Strange and erase the memory of the identity reveal from the world.
In the second half of the trailer, Doctor Strange casts a forbidden spell to erase the recently acquired knowledge of the world that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, however, the spell backfires and unleashes a multiverse. The trailer ends with the introduction of Green Goblin’s bomb and Alfred Molina reprising his character of Doctor Octopus.
