Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor has been missing from the movies briefly and her last release, The Zoya Factor, failed to live up to the expectations at the box office. While the pandemic has pushed many of the projects, Sonam Kapoor’s Blind is one of the movies that has been getting postponed due to the Coronavirus scare.
According to a source close to the development of the thriller, the makers had been waiting for the normalization to release their movie. However, with a possibility of a third Coronavirus wave, they are opting for a digital release. According to the report, the Hindi remake of the Korean mystery thriller of the same name has wrapped up the production and now the makers are in talks with many OTT giants for the release.
The producer of the movie, Sujoy Ghosh, reportedly wanted to release the movie in theatres but given the current theatrical performance, he is opting for the direct OTT release. The movie is made with a relatively small budget and the makers are more confident in recovering money with an OTT platform than a theatrical release which is dicey right now.
Helmed by Shome Makhija, Blind features Sonam Kapoor alongside Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak and Lillete Dubey. The Hindi remake of the Korean hit will also mark the default digital debut of Sonam despite the movie was made for the big screen.
