Indian cinema and telly actress Sonali Bendre, who is bravely battling with her Advanced Metastatic cancer has made a great kick-off to the New year with the official website launch of her digital book club on her birthday i.e. on 1st January 2019.

The actress who herself is a Lectiophile, grew up with a fondness for reading created this digital platform in 2017 to connect with the people who share the same passion for reading across the globe. The official website of Sonali’s book club is an expansion of her digital book club that features interactive sessions between various renowned authors, writers and readers.

Sonali wanted to create a platform where she could interact with the other book lovers who would come up with varied perspectives and notions after reading books. She started this club on Facebook in 2017 and in no time it gathered impressive number of readers traction.

The enthusiastic response from the readers from different corners of the globe worked as an encouragement for her and made her to expand the purpose of connecting book lovers in a more interesting way with her newly launched website.

Promising writers like Amish Tripathi, Anand Neelakantan, Rashmi Bansal and many other established authors are on  board where they will be interacting deeply with the budding writers and help them in the process of weaving their story in the Master class session. Her book club also encourages the upcoming authors by giving them a platform where they can talk about their book and reach wider audience.

Sonali who has always been passionate about reading, published her first book as an author in 2015 with ‘The Modern Gurukul: My Experiments with Parenting’. The book reads about balancing between the traditional and modern parenthood while raising children.

The actress was detected with Advanced Metastatic cancer in the year 2018 which came as a huge shocker for everyone, however, Sonali never let the world see her pain. In fact, became a true inspiration for everyone with her  inspirational and lively posts while she was undergoing treatment for the same in New York.

Last seen in Balaji Telefilms mature love story drama for Life ok ‘Ajeeb Daastaan Hai Ye’ in 2015, the actress is surely missed on our TV screens. Hoping to get to see more of her, now that she back from New York after her treatment.

She celebrated her 44th Birthday in her Mumbai residence yesterday with her family and close friends like Sussanne Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Naina Bachchan, Kunal Kapoor and few others. Her husband Goldi Behl and BFF Sussane Khan took their instagram handles and posted a heartfelt birthday message for her.

Happy birthday Sonali ❤ They say your partner needs to be your best friend, your sounding board, your mirror, your strength, your inspiration. You have been all that and more to me. 2018 was a tough year on you but I am so proud of the dignity and courage with which you handled it. Not only did you help me find my own strength, but you imparted that to every soul who followed your life closely. It is never easy to be at the receiving end and yet be so positive and spread so much love. Thank you for being the person you are. On your special day, I wish you all things wonderful, all things love, all things that bring a cheer to you through the year. So #SwitchOnTheSunshine like you always do and make this year count #OneDayAtATime.
