Sidharth Malhotra fans have been eagerly waiting for his upcoming film, Yodha, which has been making headlines for its release date delays. Originally set to hit the theatres in November 2022, the release was first pushed to July 7, 2023. However, due to VFX issues, the makers announced a further delay to September 15, 2023.
Unfortunately, there is now news that the film’s release has been postponed again. According to sources, Yodha will not release on September 15, 2023, as previously announced, due to the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Jawan, which is slated for a September 7 release.
The competition in today’s market is intense, and arriving a week after a Shah Rukh Khan film is like playing with fire. As a result, the makers of Yodha have decided to delay its release. “Jawan is expected to be a box office tornado and will eat into the business of every film releasing around,” a trade source told media outlets.
The new release date for Yodha will be decided soon. The makers are reportedly considering several options in October, November, and even December 1. “Exact date for Yodha will be locked in the next 2 weeks leading to its official announcement. The makers will now zero down on a date that best suits the arrival of Yodha for our audience,” the trade source added.
Yodha, produced by Karan Johar, is an action-thriller film directed by Siddharth Anand. It features Sidharth Malhotra in the lead role alongside Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna. The film is expected to be a visual extravaganza with high-octane action scenes, and its delay is sure to disappoint Sidharth’s fans who have been waiting eagerly for his next big-screen appearance.
