Exclusive updates from Pinkvilla reveal that the discussions between Sidharth Malhotra, Siddharth Anand, and Mamta Anand revolve around an upcoming action film.
Sources close to the development share that Sidharth Malhotra is keen on exploring more action-oriented roles, and Siddharth Anand is the ideal collaborator to bring this vision to the big screen. Although the details are yet to be formalized, the film is slated to be produced by Marflix, with a focus on delivering some of the most significant action thrillers in India.
The untitled action film will mark the directorial debut of Rohan Khambati, known for his contributions to major Hindi Cinema action films. Having served as the action designer for blockbuster films like Jawan and Pathaan, and as the assistant director for projects including Pathaan, Dhoom 3, and Anjana Anjani, Rohan Khambati is set to bring his expertise to the director’s chair. Familiar with working alongside Sidharth, Rohan has found strong support for his vision with Marflix as the producer.
Currently in the early stages of discussion, the film brings together the two Sid’s and Rohan, aligning their creative visions. If all goes according to plan, the yet-to-be-titled action thriller is expected to kick off production by the end of next year.
In the interim, Sidharth Malhotra is set to complete two films before diving into the actioner with Marflix. His 2024 lineup includes the Maddock production, Spider, alongside Janhvi Kapoor, followed by a real-life story collaboration with Meghna Gulzar for Junglee Pictures. Meanwhile, Marflix is gearing up for the release of Fighter featuring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in January, followed by commencing the shooting of the Rohit Dhawan starrer Rambo.
