Gully Boy-famed Siddhant Chaturvedi is on a roll, signing back-to-back projects. It was earlier reported that Siddhant has signed Vikas Bahl’s sci-fi actioner co-starring Wamiqa Gabbi and Jaya Bachchan followed by reports of the actor in talks for a high-concept comic caper. The latest reports inform that Siddhant has bagged another exciting project and will be sharing screen space with Disha Patani.
According to a source close to the development of Milap Zaveri’s upcoming horror comedy, Siddhant Chaturvedi has been approached to play the lead in the youth-centric horror comedy-drama and the actor has given his nod after hearing the script. The yet-to-be-titled movie will also feature Disha Patani as the female lead and the duo will begin with the concept shoot soon. While Chaturvedi has already done a horror comedy in his career, Phone Bhoot, Disha Patani will be experimenting with the niche for the first time.
To be helmed by Milap Zaveri, the crew is excited about the pre-production and expects the movie to go on the floors in early 2025. The source further adds that the filmmaker is planning to add a mass appeal to the scary comedy-drama to reach a wider audience and will be adding commercial elements.
On the other hand, Siddhant Chaturvedi was last seen in the action thriller Yudhra sharing screenspace with Malavika Mohanan and Raghav Juyal. Meanwhile, Disha Patani played a key role in the Sidharth Malhotra’s actioner Yodha. The actress was also seen in a brief role in Kalki 2898 AD. Besides the Milap Zaveri’s untitled horror-comedy, Disha also has Kanguva and the multi-starrer Welcome To The Jungle in her kitty.
