A while ago, the first trailer of the upcoming same-sex love story, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, was released and it garnered a great response from the audience. Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Kota Factory fame Jitendra Kumar, the movie trailer shows a glimpse of the kiss shared by the lead actors which broke the internet. While the kiss scene passed the test of Censor Board with no scissors, Jitendra Kumar opened up on his experience.

In a recent media encounter, Jitendra Kumar went candid about his experience of kissing Ayushmann Khurrana on screen. When quizzed, the actor hilariously answered that it was not much different from kissing a girl expect Ayushmann’s beard caused itching. Jitendra also added that the entire crew made sure that the intimate scene went as comfortable as possible.

While Jitendra Kumar has done an onscreen kissing scene before as well, it was the first time that he kissed a man. He further revealed that he wasn’t hesitant to play a homosexual character but did think about his comfort in doing so. The director of the movie, Hitesh Kewalya, earlier said that he wanted to give the story a humorous touch to make it deliver the message better.

Starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar alongside Neena Gupta, Maanvi Gagroo, and Manu Rishi in prominent characters, Shubh Mangal Jyada Saavdhan is slated to release on the 21st of February.
