After the successful run of ‘Stree’, which is Shraddha Kapoor’s second highest grossing movie post ‘Aashiqui 2’, the actress is all set to play National level Badminton player Saina Nehwal in her biopic. This would be Shraddha’s second biopic movie, the first one based on gangster ‘Haseena Parkar’ tanked at the box office.

The movie titled ‘Saina’ directed by Amol Gupte from ‘Stanley ka Dabba’ fame went on floors on 22nd September. The team shared Shraddha’s first look as Saina and we must say the actress completely fits the bill of the ace Badminton player.

The actress has gone through tremendous amount of training under coach Pullela Gopichand and Saina herself to get the nuances and techniques right, so as to give the biopic an authentic touch.

Shraddha’s recent last movie ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ alongside Shahid Kapoor ended up with a poor performance at the Box office. The actress has had a rather bumpy ride at the Box office in the last few years, ‘Saina’ biopic can be a game changer for her.

Saina recently got engaged with her long time boyfriend, Arjuna Awardee Parupalli Kashyap and are rumored to tie knot by year end.
