Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh have started working on their first collaboration, Doctor G, and another versatile actor has joined the cast of the campus comedy-drama. Shefali Shah, best known for her work in Dil Dhadakne Do and Delhi Crime, has joined the team of the movie with confirmation from Rakul.
According to a source close to the development of the movie, Shefali will be portraying the character of a senior doctor alongside the two leads who will be sporting the white coat as well. While more details of her roles are kept under wraps, her participation in the project raises the anticipation one notch higher.
Talking about Shefali, the director of the movie, Anubhuti Kashyap shared, “I am thrilled to have Shefali join the team, she plays all her roles with so much ease and nuance— I’m a fan! This being my first film, I’m really looking forward to working with such powerhouses of talent.”
On the other hand, Rakul Preet Singh took to her social media handle to welcome Shefali and wrote, “Welcome to the team, Shefali ma’am.”
Penned by Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh and Saurabh Bharat, Doctor G features Ayushmann Khurrana in the titular character with Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah playing key roles.
