Shashank Khaitan’s upcoming comedy-drama, Mr Lele, has been hitting roadblocks ever since the project was announced. Earlier, Varun Dhawan decided to walk out of the movie and later the new cast acquired Coronavirus during the filming followed by a complete lockdown in Maharashtra. However, the production is back on track with new relaxations.
Reportedly, the project received a green light from the makers after the cast and crew received the first dose of Covid-19 vaccination. The shooting of the film is currently ongoing at an Andheri bungalow with the leading trio. Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani had started the shooting on Tuesday while Bhumi Pednekar joined the team recently on Friday.
Given the Coronavirus scare, the makers have currently focused on the indoor shoots for the next few weeks at different locations in and around Mumbai. The current shoot at Andheri is reportedly carried out as a 10-day schedule. The movie had gone on the floors in April but the shooting had to be called off after Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar contracted the deadly virus. Later, the Maharashtra government had restricted production activities in the state which has been eased recently.
According to a source close to the development of the movie, the title of the movie has also been changed after the exit of Varun Dhawan which is yet to be announced. For the unversed, the movie was announced with Varun Dhawan as the lead but he decided to walk out of the movie after creative differences. With a reworked script, Vicky Kaushal was brought on board to replace Varun.
