Shahid Kapoor has been basking in success lately after his outing with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga went blockbuster and broke many records. The Kabir Singh actor is currently shooting for another South Indian movie remake, Jersey, in which he will be portraying the character of a middle-aged cricketer struggling to resume his game after a self-imposed sabbatical of a decade. However, the latest reports suggest that Shahid Kapoor has bagged another big project.
As per the media reports, Shahid Kapoor has given his nod to Karan Johar’s next which is to be directed by a debutant director. While there has been no official confirmation about the project yet, the reports suggest that Shahid Kapoor will get into the shoes of a patriotic hero for the anticipated movie which will involve high-octane action sequences.
Shahid Kapoor, who was last seen in an actioner in the year 2013, was looking forward to working in an action movie and reportedly when the script was narrated to him, he immediately gave his nod to the project. For the movie, the actor will put on some extra muscle mass and therefore he will be preparing for his character before the movie goes on the floors.
While we are still awaiting an official confirmation for the actioner, the camera is expected to set rolling in the second half of the year. Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor will be seen in the Gowtam Tinnanuri directorial, Jersey.
