Shahid Kapoor has been hitting the right chords lately with his choice of movies and his last release, Kabir Singh, became an instant hit at the box office and proved to be the best performance of his career. With the critical and commercial acclamation, Shahid Kapoor, definitely, worthy of hiking his price and the latest buzz suggests the same.

According to sources, Shahid Kapoor has demanded a whopping amount of 40 crores for the remake of Telugu super hit movie Jersey starring Nani in the lead. According to the earlier speculations, Karan Johar was about to remake the movie under his production house but the latest development suggests that Dil Raju and Allu Aravind have bought the Hindi remake rights.

While Shahid Kapoor is yet to sign the dotted lines, he is already in the list of highest-paid actors of Bollywood and after the exponential success of his movie Kabir Singh, he has reclaimed his superstar status. The remake of Jersey is expected to serve as another benchmark for the actor.

While we are awaiting official confirmation, the Hindi remake is speculated to be developed under the production banners of Sri Venkateswara Creations and Geeta Arts.
