Filmmakers to producers to streaming giants are finding ways to collaborate with the star and he has already signed a number of projects. Shahid recently wrapped the filming of Jersey and he is to kickstart Raj & DK’s next. Meanwhile, Shashank Khaitan’s YoddhaSurarai Pottru remake, Ram Madhvani’s next and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Karna are under his belt. The latest addition to his list of upcoming projects is a mythological series by Netflix.

According to a source close to the busy actor, Shahid has been paid near INR 100 crores for a mythological war saga on Netflix. The trilogy is adapted from Amish Tripathi’s novel and will also mark Shahid’s debut as a producer. The report suggests that Shahid Kapoor has signed a dual deal with Netflix and in addition to being the lead actor in the trilogy, he will also co-produce the project.

Shahid Kapoor has been determined to foray into production for a while and he also worked on his own production banner with the Dingko Singh biographical drama but the project never saw the light of the day. With Netflix’s mythological drama, Shahid is reportedly looking forward to venturing into new segments of filmmaking. However, we are still waiting for an official announcement.
