After the humongous success of Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor has been one of the busiest bees of the B-town with a number of ambitious projects under his belt. While the actor is currently filming for his digital debut helmed by Raj & DK, he has been reportedly roped in by Tiger Zinda Hai‘s director Ali Abbas Zafar for an exciting thriller project.
According to a source close to the development of the project, Ali has been working on a script for a long time and after his superhero flick with Katrina Kaif got postponed due to the pandemic crisis, he decided to move to his long-awaited project. Reportedly, the untitled thriller drama is an adaptation of a foreign language film. The details of the project have been kept under wraps but it has been said that the story of the thriller movie takes place over one night.
The filmmaker approached Shahid Kapoor to play the lead and the actor has reportedly given his nod for the project. If everything goes as expected, Shahid will start filming for the untitled project shortly after wrapping his Amazon Prime Video’s web series with Raj & DK.
Apart from the two projects, Shahid will also be seen essaying an aged cricketer in his upcoming remake Jersey. He also has Amar Butala’s Operation Cactus and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s mythological epic Karna in the timeline. He is also in advanced talks with Sujay Ghosh and Shashank Khaitan for their respective thriller and action entertainer movies.
