Shahid Kapoor, last seen in Bloody Daddy, has intrigued fans with his upcoming projects. Following his role as a scientist in an untitled romantic drama with Kriti Sanon, the Ishq Vishk star is set to explore the action genre in Deva, alongside leading lady Pooja Hegde. Recently announced, the film has already wrapped up its first schedule, marking a significant milestone in its production.
Producers Roy Kapur Films expressed their delight at completing the initial schedule before the holiday season, sharing the news on social media. The post, featuring a photo of a gun surrounded by emptied bullets, read, ‘Deva First Schedule Done and Dusted.’ The caption, “And it’s a wrap for #DEVA schedule one. See you in 2024!” tagged the entire film team, including Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde.
Directed by Rosshan Andrews, known for his cinematography work in Malayalam films, Deva was unveiled on Pooja Hegde’s birthday. The first look, revealed during Dussehra festivities, showcased Shahid Kapoor in the role of a cop. Described as an action-thriller, the film follows a brilliant yet rebellious police officer delving into a high-profile case, uncovering a web of deceit and betrayal, leading to a thrilling and dangerous path.
With a screenplay by Sanjay Cherian, Hussain Dalal, Abbas Dalal, Arshad Syed, and Sumit Arora, Deva promises high-octane stunts and features Pavail Gulati in a pivotal role. Scheduled for release on October 11, 2024, during Dussehra, the film is poised to deliver an adrenaline-pumping cinematic experience.
