Shah Rukh Khan is one of the biggest names in not only India’s but world’s entertainment industry. While the actor is on a self-imposed sabbatical for almost a year now, he has made it official to play cameos in a number of big-budget movies. Rumours of him announcing his next project have been doing rounds over the internet for a while now but the actor is busy shooting his part for the upcoming trilogy Brahmastra.
Backed by Karan Johar, the fantasy adventure drama Brahmastra is Bollywood’s first trilogy and stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in major characters. However, earlier reports informed that Shah Rukh Khan will be playing a short but crucial role for the plotline of the trilogy and the latest information is that the actor has started shooting his part of the movie.
According to a report published in Mumbai Mirror, Shah Rukh’s character in the movie will be completely based on VFX and she shot one scene in front of the green screen at a studio in the Film City. The source said, “Shooting with a green screen backdrop is difficult for many actors but Shah Rukh Khan did it with ease. He has earlier worked in movies like Ra One, Fan and Zero where his characters were VFX based as well.”
The report also added that Shah Rukh Khan completed the first schedule of his shooting with his crew after his birthday in three days and only a few days of shooting for his part is left. While his character in the movie has not been specified by the makers, reports suggest that his role will be related to Ranbir Kapoor’s character in the movie.
Helmed by Ayan Mukerji, the first part of the trilogy is slated to release on 25 December 2019.
