Shah Rukh Khan has been on a self-imposed sabbatical post the poor performance of his last release, Zero, and he has kept his mum about his next project for some time now. While there have been many speculations doing rounds over the internet about the superstar’s next, earlier reports suggested that Shah Rukh Khan has finally signed a project with renowned director Rajkumar Hirani.
However, the latest report suggests that Shah Rukh Khan has finally given his nod to another project which is to be directed by Sidharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala. Titled as Salute, the project is said to be a biopic based on the life of Indian space traveller, Rakesh Sharma. While reports of Shah Rukh Khan’s involvement in the space adventure has been speculated for years, the latest report also suggests that Dangal fame Fatima Sana Shaikh has been roped in for the project.
Fatima Sana Shaikh has always been an admirer of King Khan and vocal about her dream to work with the superstar. If the reports are to be believed, Salute will pair Shah Rukh Khan and Fatima for the first time and we expect nothing but a great cinematic performance. However, there has been no confirmation about the news from either side and therefore, we will have to wait a while for the same.
