Shah Rukh Khan has been on a self-imposed sabbatical for years and his fans recently rejoiced when it was learnt that the actor has signed a movie with Yash Raj Films. While the movie is to be helmed by Siddharth Anand who directed Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War, the latest reports suggest that the Shah Rukh Khan starrer will also feature another actor.
As per the latest reports, John Abraham has been approached to play the opposition to Shah Rukh Khan’s character in the movie titled as Pathan. While the developments are being kept under wraps, a source close to the production reveals that both the actors are said to be pitted against each other but the movie will be in a different zone as to War. The movie is also expected to have a considerable cast in addition to Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham.
Pathan is touted to be one of the biggest action movies of the year which has been allotted a lavish budget by the Yash Raj Films and will mark the return of Shah Rukh Khan after a number of tanked movies. The source adds that although the last outings of Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham failed to mint coins at the box office, they have a secured fanbase who would turn up at the ticket counters for a good movie script.
The Siddharth Anand directorial is said to be officially announced in the upcoming month along with other movies as part of 50th-anniversary celebrations of Yash Raj Films.
