Shah Rukh Khan has been on a self-imposed sabbatical for years after his last release, Zero, tanked at the box office. While the actor spent some quality time with his family and examined scripts for his return, he has started working on a project which is slated for a 2021 release. Shah Rukh Khan took to his social media handle to wish his fans on the New Year and confirmed returning to the big screen in 2021.

While King Khan is a day-late for the New Year’s wish but his witty and heart-warming video message covers up the delay for his fans. The actor shared a 3 minute 15 second long video inspiring everyone to bring the New Year with positivity. Sharing the inspirational thoughts, he talked about exiting awful 2020 and embracing a positive 2021. He said, “I believe when one is at the lowest, at the most bottom-est of their life, the good thing is there is only one way to move – upwards, higher to better places. So, 2020 whatever it has been is in the past now. 2021 is going to be bigger, better, brighter and more beautiful,” he said.

The actor known for his witts also lightened up the mood of the video with some cheesy and quirky jokes in between his message of positivity. “Taking sides and fighting online is good fun, time pass but it is not for keeps. So, here’s wishing you all in 2021 a lot of happiness, joy and peace. Do I sound like some cheap greeting card? So let me add some tax paid cash too. So that your dreams and bills are fulfilled,” he further said.

Concluding the video, Shah Rukh Khan also mentioned that he will be greeting his fans in the big screens in 2021. “See you all on the big screen in 2021,” he said confirming that his next release, Pathan, will be making its way to the big screens in 2021.
