Madmidaas Produced Short film ‘Aunty Ji’ directed by Adeeb Rais, starring legendary actor Shabana Azmi and Social media sensation, the very talented Anmol Rodriguez is a definite eye opener to human behavior and their actions in general.

‘Aunty Ji’ is a story of two women, a lonely old Parsi woman Parveen played by Shabana Azmi, living all by her own in a Parsi Colony and a young aspiring self confident girl Geetika a.k.a Geeti interning in an MNC, played by Anmol Rodriguez whose face is half burnt and is victim to mean sympathetic gestures by her surroundings.

Parveen and Geeti’s lives are entirely different and distinct from the other, but their chance encounter turns out to be a start of a beautiful bond of friendship.

The 20 minute long film is a subtle yet strong reminder of how not to give up on your own self or your dreams and aspirations because of others’ demoralising and patronising attitude. The short film is sure to leave you with a happy teary smile. Watch the film below:

 

Anmol Rodriguez is in real an acid attack survivor. Beyond all the sympathy and pitiful gazes, brought up in an orphanage Anmol today has made a life of her own and doing well for herself. She is one of the popular Indian social media influencer and also the co owner of an NGO for Acid Attack Survivors.
