Om Raut directorial mythological drama, Adipurush, is one of the most anticipated movies that has been announced this year and given its star cast, the fans are expecting nothing but excellence from it. While it was announced that Baahubali actor Prabhas will be playing the protagonist of the movie against Saif Ali Khan as the villain, several reports started doing rounds over the internet that Ajay Devgn has been bagged to play a significant character in the movie.

After the makers unveiled that Prbhas and Saif Ali Khan will be essaying the mythological characters of Rama and Ravana in the movie, sources claimed that Ajay Devgn has also signed the project and he will be portraying the character of Lord Shiva in the project. However, contrary to the popular reports, Ajay Devgn is not a part of the Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan starrer mythological drama, Adipurush. Not only the claims were baseless but Ajay Devgn is pre-occupied with his previous work commitments while the pre-production of Adipurush is already on the full swing.

Earlier, there were also speculations that Anushka Sharma has been finalized to play the female lead opposite Prabhas in the movie. However, the report turned out to be untrue later. Helmed by Om Raut, Adipurush stars Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan in the primary ‘good’ and ‘bad’ characters while the female star cast is still under wraps.

On the other hand, Ajay Devgn busy with his upcoming actioner Bhuj: The Pride of India which is based on real events while his part for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi is yet to be shot. The actor also has a major schedule of Maidaan in his timeline.
