New COVID-19 cases in India are on the rise and the country is struggling to cope with the current wave of the pandemic. While many states have announced complete lockdown as a temporary measure to break the chain of spread, film productions are halted as well. Given the unprecedented times, the makers of John Abraham starrer Satyameva Jayate 2 have decided to postpone its release date.
The movie featuring John Abraham in dual characters was scheduled for a release in theatres on Eid 2021 but in the wake of the current situation, releasing the movie is no longer a viable option for the producers. Taking to the social media handle to make the announcement, the official statement read, “In these unprecedented times, nothing matters more than the safety and health of our countrymen & patrons. Our film “Satyameva Jayate 2” will now release on a later date. Till then let’s keep our masks on and do our best to keep our loved ones and ourselves out of harm’s way. Jai Hind.”
