Indian Television and Punjabi Film actress Sargun Mehta has been soaring high with back to back hits in Punjabi movies. The actress took to her social media to unveil the poster of her upcoming movie Jagdeep Sidhu’s ‘Qismat’ alongside singer-actor Ammy Virk as the main leads.
Don’t they look really adorable in the poster? The duo worked together previously in the super hit movie Angrej where Ammy played a supporting cast and in Arvindr Khaira’s music video ‘Qismat’ in 2017 which shares the same title as their upcoming new movie.
The film is supposed to be a Rom-com, a genre in which Punjabi movie industry excels. The music of this rom-com is composed by B Praak, Jaani and Sukh-E.
Before entering into Punjabi films in 2015, the actress had done ample amount of work in Hindi television serials like 12/24 Karol Bagh, Phulwa, Balika Vadhu and reality shows like Boogie Woogie, Nach Baliye, Comedy Central etc. Sargun is one actress who has always done projects that are content and character driven. Her shows and all her Punjabi movies till date are a proof to that.
In this male dominated industry, Sargun has created a niche for herself, she is not the one who would do projects where her character has no substance or makes no difference in the movie. She is surely not here to play just an eye candy. She has won two Filmfare Awards Punjab for best actress in ‘Love Punjab’ and ‘Lahoriye’.
The film will be releasing next month on 21 September 2018.
