Vicky Kaushal has been riding on the high of his career with commercially successful movies in his kitty. The actor was to be shooting Takht but the pandemic led him to start prepping for Aditya Dhar’s next mythological actioner The Immortal Ashwatthama. While Vicky Kaushal will be playing the titular character in the one touted to be a cinematic brilliance, the makers are still trying to lock the female lead opposite him.

Earlier there were reports that Vicky Kaushal’s alleged girlfriend Katrina Kaif has been roped to play the part in The Immortal Ashwatthama. However, the actress is busy with her own superhero franchise, the role has been reportedly bagged by Sara Ali Khan. As per popular media, Sara Ali Khan was approached by the makers of the actioner and she gave her nod after the recitation of the script. However, she is yet to sign the dotted line.

If reports are to be believed, Sara Ali Khan will be signing the project within a fortnight and begin prepping for her character early next year. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal will be undergoing a four-month-long training to fit into his character. The Uri actor will learn Martial Arts, Krav Maga, Jujutsu, horse riding, archery, sword fighting and spear fighting at the minimum to put life to his character on-screen.

Helmed by Aditya Dhar, The Immortal Ashwatthama will be shot over a span of around 3 months at multiple locations in India and abroad. The team will be heading to the beautiful locations of Greece, Namibia, New Zealand and Japan to shot multiple sequences in the movie while a major chunk will be put together via VFX.
