Shah Rukh Khan’s recent film, Jawan, received praise from his devoted fans. However, as the movie gained popularity, some viewers pointed out a specific dialogue uttered by SRK’s character Vikram Rathore, where he declared, “Bete ko haath lagane se pehle…” Many interpreted this as an indirect reference to the Aryan Khan case, where SRK’s son faced drug-related charges but was eventually cleared. Sameer Wankhede, the investigating officer in Aryan’s case, has now responded to this dialogue, dismissing it as “roadside.”

Speaking to MensXP, Sameer expressed his opinion on the dialogue, stating, “This dialogue sounds very roadside to me. I neither watch movies nor listen to any dialogue. I don’t know anything about this movie. But if someone has targeted this towards me, then I would like to respond to it in English.” He then quoted another writer, saying, “I have burnt many houses and bridges and I have danced on those burnt houses and bridges, so I fear no hell, so please don’t scare me.”

Although Sameer refrained from commenting on the ongoing case, he acknowledged that his interactions with Shah Rukh Khan before the legal proceedings had always been cordial. “I can’t comment on the case. But 2-3 times when we met before, it was all very cordial. He knew me quite well and I knew him quite well too,” he stated.

Earlier this year, Sameer Wankhede faced allegations of extorting money from SRK in exchange for Aryan’s release from custody. Aryan had been in jail for a month following the 2021 Cordelia cruise drug bust. Sameer presented messages allegedly sent by Shah Rukh, asserting that there was no evidence supporting the claim that he sought money from the actor.

Wankhede’s plea emphasized, “Allegations pertaining to the arrest of Aryan Khan being only an attempt for demanding money in exchange of his release are blatantly false and can be clearly seen from the messages sent by Mr. Shahrukh Khan himself during the time Aryan was in the custody of NCB.” The messages indicated that Shah Rukh Khan harboured no grievances against Wankhede and only requested kindness for his son.
