Amazon Prime Original Series, The Family Man, received unexpected phenomenal success and became the trendsetter over the social media websites. Following the craze for the web series, Prime Video has announced a second season to the much-loved action thriller with the protagonist, Srikant Tiwari, against a new and powerful avenging adversary.
Meanwhile, popular Indian actress noted for her work in the Tamil and Telugu film industries, Samantha Akkineni took to her social media handle to announce that she would mark her digital debut with the second season of the successful web series, The Family Man. Announcing the second season going on floors, the actress shared her excitement to be a part of it as she wrote, “#TheFamilyMan #TheFamilyMan2 Yasssssssss finallyyyyyyy…. my web series debut with the most kickass show … ???? @rajanddk my heroes ????❤️ Thankyou for giving me a dream role (sic).”
During a media interaction, Samantha Akkineni said, “With the digital space booming, I knew I had to be a part of this revolution. What better way to make my digital debut, than with one of India’s most loved series – The Family Man. I have loved Raj & DK’s work and given the global reach and standing of Amazon Prime Video, I couldn’t have asked for better partners.” She further added that her character in the series will be different from anything she has done before and would delight her fans.
Written, directed and produced by Raj and DK, the second season of The Family Man promises an exciting, gripping and action-filled storyline with stellar performances from Padma Shri awardee Manoj Bajpayee, Samantha Akkineni and Priyamani in key roles.
