The third installment to the blockbuster cop-drama franchise, Dabangg, is on the full swing and the makers are leaving no stones unturned as the movie heads to a release date. While the Salman Khan starrer has already created a buzz around it, it has fallen in another controversy after the release of its latest track.
As per the report, a Hindu organization named Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has raised concerned over the portrayal of Hindu saints in the recently released title track of the actioner and demanded the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to put a halt on the film certification. In the mentioned video song, Salman Khan can be seen shaking legs with people dressed as Hindu saints and the actor seeks blessing from three men dressed as Triple deity of supreme divinity in Hinduism.
The Hindu outfit has considered the portrayal of the Hindu saints as ‘derogatory’ for real saints and said that it ‘hurts’ the sentiments of Hindus. While the organization has demanded a halt on the film certification, no official statement has been issued from the makers of Dabangg 3.
However, it is not the first time that Hindu outfit has questioned the makers of the movie. Earlier, pictures from the sets of Dabangg 3 surfaced online which pictured Shivling covered with wooden planks and created a controversy. However, it was clarified that it was covered for protection from damage on the sets.
Starring Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan and Sudeep in prominent characters, the Prabhu Deva directorial is slated to release on 20 December 2019.
