One of the biggest superstars of the Indian film industry, Salman Khan, was last seen in the action drama, Antim, alongside brother-in-law Aayush Sharma and his fans have eagerly been waiting for his next release. While the megastar has a number of movies in the making, his next, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, has been the talk of the town ever since it was announced.

While the movie is helmed by Farhad Samji, the movie was bankrolled by Sajid Nadiadwala’s production banner, Nadiadwala Grandson, and the fans of the actor were excited about the reunion. However, the latest developments in the projects suggest that the movie will no longer have the production tag of Nadiadwala Grandson as the latter has reportedly walked out.

According to a source close to the development of the project, Sajid Nadiadwala was not content with the final draft of the movie script and felt that it needed to be worked upon. However, Salman Khan, who is playing the protagonist in the movie, found the script good enough to commence the filming. The creative differences resulted in Sajid Nadiadwala stepping back from bankrolling the heavily-budgeted movie leaving Salman to lead the production.

However, the actor and filmmaker have a long history of working together and the two share great personal as well as professional relationships. Nadiadwala Grandson’s decision to step back is unlikely to create any fallout between the two and we can expect to see Sajid’s name in the credits as a joint producer.

Reuniting Salman Khan and Pooja Hegde as the leads, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is expected to go on the floors in the first week of May in Panvel.
