Telugu megastar and former politician, Chiranjeevi, will be bringing the Malayalam superhit action drama, Lucifer, with a remake and a pan-India appeal. The movie has been tentatively titled God Father and recently went on the floors with ease in restrictions. The latest rumour has it that Bollywood’s superstar Salman Khan has been approached to play a key role in the remake.

According to a source close to the development of the movie, Chiranjeevi has approached Salman Khan to play a pivotal role in the remake of Lucifer and the Radhe actor has given his nod for the project. While the details of his involvement are unofficial and yet-to-be-confirmed, the reports suggest that the actor will have a guest role that was originally played by Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Helmed by Mohan Raja, God Father will feature Chiranjeevi along with Nayanthara and Satyadev in the key roles. However, an official confirmation is awaited for the rest of the cast and crew. The director announced the beginning of production of the remake on his Twitter handle with the tweet, “With the blessings of parents and well wishers starting next journey, this time a Mega one Smiling face with halo. Getting set with an amazing team.”
