Last couple outings of Salman Khan failed to live up to the expectations of the audience and had an average business at the box office. While the actor collaborated with Prabhu Deva for another cop-drama, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, which was to release on the occasion of Eid, the viral pandemic and nationwide lockdown changed the equation for the filmmakers.
While the entire world has come to a standstill amid the Coronavirus scare, no films are being released in order to maintain social distancing practices to curb the spread of the deadly virus. Meanwhile, OTT platforms witnessed a boom in their business and approached many filmmakers with lucrative offers to release their ongoing projects directly on digital platforms. Smaller as well as big projects including Akshay Kumar starrer Laxmmi Bomb are advancing towards OTT release and reports suggest Salman Khan starrer is also seeking a digital release.
Earlier, reports started doing rounds over the internet that the makers of Salman Khan starrer Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai are ready for the OTT release if they are offered a whopping INR 250 crore. Clearing the air, Salman Khan’s manager, Jordy Patel, confirmed that they are open for a digital release but they will sign the dotted line after evaluating the situation after the film is complete in production. The crew is yet to shoot a couple songs along with some key scenes which were halted amid the lockdown.
However, Jordy Patel clarified that the makers haven’t quoted any figure so far and they do not have a figure in mind since the movie is still in the production phase. Helmed by Prabhu Deva, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai stars Salman Khan as the titular character while Disha Patani is to play his love interest. Randeep Hooda and Jackie Shroff among others will be seen playing key characters in the cop-drama.
