Salman Khan has reportedly acquired the Hindi remake rights of Ravi Teja’s Telugu film, Khiladi. From Ghajini to Baahubali, remaking South Indian films has become a trend in Bollywood and has emerged as the easiest way to go big in the box office as it taps into the interests of a much more diverse audience.

The last few outings of Salman Khan has been unsuccessful at the box office but the superstar is looking forward to bouncing back with the Hindi remake of Ravi Teja starrer Telugu superhit, Khiladi.  If Salman  Khan does feature in the remake, this will be just one of the many successful Bollywood remakes of South Indian movies Salman Khan has already done. His 2014 movie Kick is one of the many examples which did very well in the box office.

Apparently, Salman Khan acquired the remake rights for the film after watching the teaser of Ravi Teja’s Khiladi. Further sources also reveal that Khiladi director Ravi Sharma has been approached to helm the project. Meenakshi Chowdhary Arjun and Dimple Hayathi were the two actresses that starred in the Ravi Teja action thriller. The film has been jointly produced by Satyanarayana Koneru and Varma under the banner of A Studios LLP.

Devi Sri Prasad who composed Seeti Maar for Salman Khan’s latest movie Radhe has also composed music for Khiladi, this is said to have been a major pulling factor.
