The second season will go further into the past of Ganesh Gaitonde played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui and how his third father Khanna Guru Ji played by Pankaj Tripathi led him to his ultimate destruction. On the other hand we have Sartaj Singh played by Saif Ali Khan finding ways to help save Mumbai getting wiped off from a Nuclear explosion.
Masan director Neeraj Ghaywan will fill in the shoes of Vikramaditya Motwane who was directing Sartaj Singh’s parts, however, Vikramaditya will carry on being the show runner of the series. Anurag will resume directing Gaitonde’s portions.
Season 1 saw the exit of some pivotal characters Anjali Mathur (Radhika Apte), Kubra Sait (Kuku), Constable Katekar (Jitendra Joshi) and Subhadra (Rajshri Deshpande), however, it’s possible we get to see them in some flashbacks in the upcoming season.
