With web-series taking over the throne last year, Sacred Games stood as one of the most successful web-series ever in India with a fan following in millions. Based on the book by Vikram Chandra, season one walked us into the shoes of Sartaj Singh and Ganesh Gaitonde, played by Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, respectively.

While fans were not over with the craze of Sacred Games, Netflix announced a second season and released a short promo in the month of May featuring Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Ranveer Shorey, and Kalki Koechlin in prominent characters following up the storyline of the first season.

Earlier reports suggested that the second season of one of the most viral web-series might release on 28th of June, but the latest reports are not supporting the previous claims. According to the latest updates, the second season is not expected to get on the air before August end since another show is taking up the slot and Netflix is in no mood to compete with their own shows.

Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan commenced shooting for the upcoming Bollywood flick, Jawaani Jaaneman, of his home production and Nawazuddin Siddiqui is busy with the shooting of his brother’s directorial Bole Chudiyan.
