In an original romantic comedy set in Mumbai and the UK, Shahid Kapoor is collaborating with producer Dinesh Vijan. Kriti Sanon will play the female lead in the movie, and the production team is working to assemble a large ensemble. The movie, centred on robots, would star Shahid Kapoor as a robotics specialist and Kriti Sanon as a robot. Additionally, we can now exclusively reveal that filming for the Amit Joshi directorial will begin by November 2022.
“There have been many rumours that the movie won’t succeed, but we can officially confirm that the start-to-finish timeline for the unusual love story begins in early November. It’s a brand-new idea and a brand-new coupling, and at Maddock, everything is in place to start shooting the movie. The pre-production work has already started, and in October, the two stars, Shahid and Kriti, will start acting workshops,” revealed a person familiar with the project.
The yet-to-be-titled robot-based romantic comedy is one of Maddock’s most eagerly awaited projects. Over the years, the company has developed a reputation for curating original material. Across the upcoming months, it will be filmed in Europe and India in preparation for its 2023 theatrical premiere.
Dinesh has been investing in original material, such as Stree, Hindi Medium, and other projects. Another of its sort will be the forthcoming robot-based movie. And after Raabta, Luka Chuppi, Arjun Patiala, MiMi, Hum Do Hamare Do, and the next movie Bhediya starring Varun Dhawan, it would be Kriti’s seventh association with the producer. While for Shahid, it is their first time working together. In addition, Dinesh is producing Tehran, starring John Abraham, and an unnamed air force-based action drama starring Akshay Kumar.
In the meanwhile, aside from the aforementioned movie, Kriti is working on other exciting projects. She has Shehzada with Kartik Aaryan, Ganapath with Tiger Shroff, and Adipurush with Prabhas. Shahid, on the other hand, is getting ready for the release of his two movies—the action thriller from Ali Abbas Zafar and Raj & DK’s Farzi for Amazon.
