Coronavirus is spreading at a pace in the country and the crisis is getting worse with each passing day. A day ago, megastar Amitabh Bachchan along with his son, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, creating a ruckus amongst the netizens. While the family was shifted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai with mild symptoms, rumour mills started churning at an indefinite pace.

Soon after the news of Amitabh Bachchan and his family contracting the deadly virus surfaced the internet, wishes came pouring from every corner of the country. However, along with the positivity, there were some fake news about many other superstars getting COVID-19. The solely-based-on-rumours news claimed that Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor and filmmaker Karan Johar have also tested positive for the virus and linked their infection with the Bachchan family.

“Confirmed: #RanbirKapoor NeetuKapoor,#KaranJohar also test positive for Covid 19. #AgastyaNanda, Grandson of #AmitabhBachchan attended birthday party hosted by #RiddhimaKapoor,” read the rumour. Irked by the same, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni took to her social media handle to slam the fake news and wrote, “Attention seeking ??? Least verify/ clarify ! We are fit We are good ! Stop spreading rumours ! #lunatics #fakenews (sic).”

While we are certain that the Kapoor family is currently safe and untouched by the pandemic, we wish speedy recovery for the Bachchan family as they are still under care at the Nanavati hospital.
