Talented Bollywood actor, Sushant Singh Rajput, reportedly died by suicide on June 14 and left behind an unfillable void. While the initial investigation by the Mumbai police claimed it to be a case of suicide, there have been speculations of a foul play and a professional rivalry. Mumbai police initiated a thorough investigation to find the actual cause of Rajput’s death and interrogated people sharing close proximity with the late actor on both personal and professional front. However, his fans had been demanding CBI probe every since the news broke out.
In over a month, many celebrities and renowned politicians have also demanded as well as requested CBI inquiry to probe any foul play in the unfortunate incident. Joining the bandwagon, Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty has also demanded CBI probe in Sushant’s suicide case by addressing herself as of late actor’s girlfriend. Taking to her social media handle, Chakraborty sought attention from Home Minister of India, Amit Shah, to initiate a CBI probe.
“I’m Sushant Singh Rajputs girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise. I have complete faith in the government, however, in the interest of justice, I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter. I only want to understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step,” she wrote as she uploaded a picture of Sushant Singh Rajput on her Instagram account.
Rhea Chakraborty shared a close bond with the late actor and allegedly had plans to tie the knot with him. She kept herself away from the social media for a month post Rajput’s demise and remembered him with a heartfelt note on his one-month death anniversary.
