Known for carrying woman-centric films on her shoulder, Kangana Ranaut is soaring high with the success of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Now the actress is prepping up for another big release, Mental Hai Kya, starring Rajkummar Rao in the male lead.
As the name suggests, the movie will revolve around two crazy characters in a quirky and wacky storyline. As per early reports, Kangana Ranaut is playing the character of a mentally ill girl and the film revolves around the prejudices and taboos related to mental conditions. However, Rajkummar Rao’s character is kept under wrap and we will have to wait for a while to learn whether he will have a mental condition as well or he will try to treat/support Kangana’s character in the issues faced by her.
According to the leading entertainment portal, Pinkvilla, a grand launch has been planned for the theatrical release of the movie trailer on 19 June. Kangana Ranaut, herself, stands for the mental health cause in real life and therefore she is personally attached to the movie concept.
Directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, Mental Hai Kya is scheduled to hit the theatres on 26 July 2019 with Kangana Ranaut, Rajkummar Rao, Amyra Dastur, Jimmy Shergill, and Satish Kaushik in prominent characters.
