British-Zimbabwean actor Regé-Jean Page known for the popular television show, Bridgerton, is reportedly approached to play the next Black Panther in the live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. American actor Chadwick Boseman left for his heavenly abode last year, after his long battle against cancer, leaving behind his Black Panther legacy.

While the unfortunate death of the actor left his fans devastated, another debate surfaced online as to who will take his place as the comic book based Wakandian hero, Black Panther. Earlier, Marvel boss assured that Chadwick Boseman will not be replaced as no actor will take his place in the hearts of his fans. “We’re not going to have a CG Chadwick and we’re not recasting T’Challa,” Kevin Feige had told Deadline. Instead, the makers are exploring other characters who can take forward the legacy and if reports are to be believed, Regé-Jean Page is likely to be the next Black Panther.

Earlier, it was also speculated that Erik Killmonger, M’Baku, or Shuri might take forward the legacy and fans favour Letitia Wright’s Shuri as the natural successor for the Black Panther throne. However, there has been no official confirmation made from the Marvel Studios so far.
