Ranveer Singh expands his diverse filmography with the addition of another promising project, Rakshas, amidst an already bustling schedule including Singham Again and Don 3. Teaming up with director Prasanth Varma, known for the recent box office hit HanuMan, Singh is rumoured to dive into Indian mythology in this big-budget period film.
As per reports from Pinkvilla, the project, tentatively titled Rakshas, is backed by Mythri Movie Makers and marks the inception of a grand cinematic universe envisioned by Varma. Singh is reportedly captivated by the director’s vision and long-term plans for the universe, eagerly anticipating the journey ahead.
With pre-production in full swing, including completed scripts and pre-visualization, Rakshas gears up for production. Singh has already participated in a Pooja ceremony for the film, signifying its commencement on the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Hyderabad.
Set in the pre-independence era, Rakshas promises a mythological backdrop, with Singh’s character rumoured to embody shades of a negative force, intriguing audiences with its dark and enigmatic narrative.
In addition to Rakshas, Singh is reported to collaborate with Aditya Dhar on another project in pre-production, with shooting schedules for both films expected to be finalized soon, potentially commencing filming in the latter half of 2024.
While Singh is yet to officially announce his upcoming projects, Singham Again and Don 3 are confirmed releases, offering fans a glimpse into his diverse and dynamic cinematic journey.
