Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy emerged as a blockbuster with mostly positive reviews from the critics and audience, alike. Now the Zoya Akhtar directorial has made its way to the Oscar as India’s official entry for the year. While the cast and crew of the movie along with the fans are busy celebrating the success, Zoya Akhtar is working on her next project already.
As per the report, Zoya has been working on a gangster drama for some time now and she is keen on getting Ranveer Singh on board to play the lead character. According to a source close to the development of the movie, Zoya Akhtar has pitched the idea to the Gully Boy actor and Ranveer has given his nod as well. However, he is yet to sign the dotted line.
Meanwhile, the makers are also planning on the date to roll the movie with Ranveer Singh as the actor is currently busy with a bunch of projects up his sleeve. Ranveer is currently busy with Kabir Khan’s 83′ while he has Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Takht lined up.
If things go as planned, the untitled gangster drama will be Ranveer Singh and Zoya Akhtar’s third collaboration after Dil Dhadakne Do and Gully Boy.
