Following the excitement of Kiran Rao’s Laapataa Ladies being selected as India’s official entry for the 2025 Oscars, another exciting development has surfaced. Randeep Hooda’s Swatantrya Veer Savarkar has also been officially submitted for consideration at the 97th Academy Awards.
On September 24, Randeep Hooda, along with Ankita Lokhande and producer Sandip Singh, shared a joint post on social media featuring the poster of Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. The poster proudly announced the film’s submission for the Oscars, accompanied by a picture of Randeep holding the clapboard, standing alongside the producers.
In the post, the team expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Film Federation of India. “Honored and humbled! Our film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar has officially been submitted for the Oscars. Thank you, FILM FEDERATION OF INDIA, for this incredible recognition. This journey has been nothing short of remarkable, and we are deeply thankful to everyone who has supported us. #WhoKilledHisStory,” the caption read.
