Ranbir Kapoor has officially confirmed that Brahmastra will continue as a three-part franchise. Speaking at the Red Sea Film Festival, the actor shared exciting updates about the sequel, Brahmastra 2, revealing that the script is currently in the works.

Providing insights into the project, Ranbir explained, “Part 2 is in the writing stage. The first film was titled Shiva, and the second is called Dev. While we haven’t announced the cast yet, that’s something to look forward to. This project is being helmed by my close friend Ayan Mukerji, with whom I’ve previously collaborated on Wake Up Sid, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, and Brahmastra. The first instalment was groundbreaking for Indian cinema, and I believe the potential for the upcoming parts is even greater.”

The first part, Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva, was produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and featured an ensemble cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan. It was praised for its ambitious storytelling and visual effects, marking a significant milestone in Indian fantasy films.

On the other hand, Ranbir recently wrapped up filming for Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, where he stars opposite Sai Pallavi. He is also set to appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, sharing the screen with Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt. With a packed lineup of projects, fans are eagerly awaiting his next cinematic ventures.

Brahmastra 2 promises to delve deeper into the Astraverse, expanding its narrative and visual spectacle, making it one of the most anticipated sequels in Indian cinema.
