Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in the prominent characters, the fantasy drama trilogy, Brahmastra, will not be released in mid-2020 as earlier expected. Karan Johar’s magnum opus project was earlier slated to release on Christmas 2019 but due to prolonged VFX process, it was postponed to the second quarter of the next year. However, the latest update is not in favour of fantasy drama.
According to a source close to the development of the trilogy, a major part of the VFX is still pending and includes the special cameo by Shah Rukh Khan along with some important scenes of the movie and the company working on the visual effects have requested more time from the producers to provide their expected end product without compromising. The source revealed that the visual effects work will be completed only by the end of the year 2020.
They don’t want to release a half-baked product and hence giving the adequate time to visual effects. The vision is to bring in the biggest film from Bollywood, with no compromises on any aspects. Ayan and Karan are fine with a little more delay as they are sure, that the audience will be blown away by the visuals once the trailer and teaser is unveiled,” the source said.
Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles along with Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna and Shah Rukh Khan in prominent character, the Ayan Mukerji directorial is now expected to release by the end of the next year.
