Actress Rakul Preet Singh is a self-made star. Within the seven years of her Bollywood debut, in the film “Yaariyan”, (2014) she has reached well to the top while dealing with the outsider tag. She is presently one of the busiest actresses in the Indian film industry.

The actress dedicates her success to her ability to not be intimidated by anything, or be scared of losing stardom.
She says that eventually, it is all about when people start appreciating your work. and that is all that she works to achieve. She believes that it is all about that one smile that she may be capable of bringing on someone’s face or when someone would compliment her that they loved a particular film of hers. Rakul tells that it makes her really happy.

The actress says that she doesn’t live in fear. When she came into the industry with absolutely nothing she chose to look at the brighter side that she got the opportunity. She says that now she is living her dream.

Rakul Preet who is now 30 is among the most sought-after actresses and has been signed for a long line-up of films over the next months. Right now, she performs in the OTT film “Sardar Ka Grandson”, alongside Arjun Kapoor. Next, Rakul will be acting in “Mayday” along with Amitabh Bachchan and the film’s actor-director Ajay Devgn. In “Attack” she will be seen sharing the screen with John Abraham, and in “Thank God” she will be co-starring with Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra. “Indian 2″ a film by Kamal Hassan will also be casting Rakul and Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer “Doctor G” is also one of her bags.

The actress appreciates the love she has been receiving from the audience and she just wishes to keep performing better and entertain by doing different kinds of roles. She had made her acting debut in the 2009 Kannada film “Gilli”, and Telugu film “Keratam” the same year. A year later, she had also acted in a Tamil film “Thadaiyara Thaakka”.Her coming-of-age role can be seen in “De De Pyaar De”. She has also performed in “Marjaavan” and “Aiyaari”.

On being asked as to what is more important from the script or the character, Rakul replies that she operates in the theory of “permutation and combination”. She informs that she at times chooses a film because she loves the story and other times she wants to be a part of the message of the film. Sometimes she also goes by her character and the script.

Talking about her latest “Sardar Ka Grandson”, Rakul says that it was the emotion of the film that got her to sign for it. The upcoming film is expected to release on Netflix on May 18.
