While the alleged suicide case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput is getting murkier, Indian mainstream media are leaving no stones unturned to turn the events into a money vending affair. For the last few months, Sushant Singh Rajput’s case is a constant headline in the news channels and with every new revelation, they are conducting their own investigation.
With a drug angle getting prominent with the ongoing investigation by NCB, the media reports named many Bollywood celebrities in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput case. Actress Rakul Preet Singh, whose name also surfaced in the media reports, has taken a legal route to act against the falsified information. The actress has moved to the Delhi High Court against media trial and through her lawyer submitted that media reports being run are in contravention with I&B Ministry Guidelines.
The Delhi High Court immediately acted towards the plea of Rakul Preet Singh and reportedly sent directives to Prasar Bharti and News Broadcasters Association to consider the plea of the actress. The earlier reports had stated that prime accused in the Sushant’s suicide case, Rhea Chakraborty, had named 25 people in connection with the drug mafia in Bollywood. Rhea Chakraborty along with her brother, Showik Chakraborty, has been arrested by the NCB after confessing her crimes.
