For the last two days, the Indian entertainment industry faced critical losses as two of biggest and legendary actors left us creating a void. While the entire Bollywood is mourning the unfortunate deaths of Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan opened up on his last meeting with Rishi Kapoor before his demise.
Rakesh Roshan and Rishi Kapoor first met on the sets of musical Khel Khel Mein and stayed best friends for over 45 years. The filmmaker met Rishi Kapoor for the last time on the 14th of March and talked for hours about his health. While Rakesh Roshan, himself, has recovered from the grip of cancer, he warned Rishi Kapoor to not neglect his health.
Talking to an entertainment portal, heartbroken Rakesh Roshan said, “Both of us had cancer, though different kinds. I am aware of how infection-prone we are. So when Chintu told me about his plans to go to Delhi in February for a wedding I advised him against it. But he still went, and had a relapse there. When I met Chintu he admitted he should’ve listened to me and that he made a mistake by going to Delhi.”
While Rakesh Roshan is ‘hundred percent cured’, he is not taking any chances with his health and is waiting for his final medical tests before starting on his next project. “I eat well, sleep well and exercise daily. I hope to start my new film after September,” he added.
