Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao has been running on a busy schedule lately with back to back production and promotions of his upcoming movies. While the actor recently appeared at The Kapil Sharma Show to promote his next alongside Kriti Sanon, he will be resuming the filming of the official Hindi remake of the Telugu-language thriller, Hit.

Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra had wrapped the first schedule of the yet-to-be-titled remake a while ago and as per the sources, Rajkummar Rao joins the cast and crew on Wednesday for the second schedule of the filming. The second leg of the Hit remake takes place in Mumbai and the makers plan to wrap the schedule before Diwali giving room for the preparations of the next schedule.

The thriller tracks a police officer grappling with a personal tragedy and trying to put his feelings aside to focus on the investigation of a missing girl. The original movie is produced by Nani and features Vishwak Sen, Ruhani Sharma, Naveena Reddy and Chaitanya Sagiraju in pivotal roles.

The Hindi remake also marks the directorial debut of filmmaker Sailesh Kolanu in the Hindi-language film industry. The filmmaker has also directed the Telugu version of the first and second instalment of the Hit franchise. Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Dil Raju, the Hindi remake features Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra in the lead.
