Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor shared screen space for the first time in the horror-comedy, Roohi. While the movie failed to live up to the expectations of the fans and had a poor business at the box office due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the fans enjoyed the fresh pair. Much to their joy, the two actors are coming together for a second time.

According to a source close to the actor, Rajkummar Rao has given his nod for a sports drama with filmmaker Sharan Sharma which will also feature Janhvi Kapoor in the lead. The two will be portraying onscreen cricketers while the rest of the details of the fictional story are kept under wraps for now.

To be bankrolled by Karan Johar, the untitled project is currently under the pre-production stage and the makers are eyeing more renowned faces to play key roles in the movie. Rajkummar and Janhvi will undergo sports training by the end of the year to flawlessly play their characters. The movie will also mark the second outing of Janhvi Kapoor and filmmaker Sharan Sharma after the ambitious Gunjan Saxena biopic.

Meanwhile, Janhvi is busy filming Dostana 2 and will soon begin working on the Helen biopic. On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao recently wrapped Abhishek Jain’s Hum Do Humare Do and Harshavardhan Kulkarni’s Badhaai Do.
